Career Day @ FMS

February 17, 2015

Freeport Middle School hosted a Career Day on February 13,2015. Our PTO organized and executed an incredible day for our student and staff enrichment. Various local presenters shared their career experiences with students in grades 5-8. We would like to thank all of the individuals involved. Pictured is our AVID Tutor, Mrs. Angela Kennedy (retired Air Force)  along with her 8th grade AVID guide, Kelby Ragan.

Teachers at Butler led professional development around the theme “Why Are We Here?”

Teachers participated in a scavenger hunt for bonding and then enjoyed breakout sessions on Teacher Leadership, Kagan Strategies, and Technology.

MHS Students use Prezi to Present a Project on Air Pressure and Barometers

Students in Mrs. Blanton’s 3rd grade classroom used Prezi to create a presentation for their class on air pressure and barometers. Students worked during their enrichment group to research and create the Prezi. Using Prezi in this Digital Lead Classroom at Mossy Head School is one way students incorporate technology in their everyday learning.Mrs. Blanton's 3rd Grade Class
