Anchor Club - Anna Cramer, Advisor

Applications may be picked up from Mrs. Cramer (room 219) or from the Anchor Board in the English hallway.

GPA Requirements:  Seniors - 3.0 / Juniors - 3.2 / Sophomores - 3.4 / Freshmen - 3.6

Dues are $50 for new members and $40 for returning members.

The deadline to turn in dues is August 30, 2019.

Meetings are held in the media center from 3:05-3:45 p.m.

2nd Wednesday of month:  Business meeting - polo and khaki pants/skirt

3rd Wednesday of month:  Program meeting - Business professional

4th Wednesday of month:  Executive Board meeting

Chess Club - Dimitri Zachos, Advisor

The Chess Club meets on Tuesdays from 3:30-4:30 in Mr. Zachos’s art room (146).  The first meeting will be held on August 26, 2019.  It's not necessary to know how to play the game to join the club.  Anyone new to chess will be given lessons to learn.  Throughout the year, we will be playing tournaments at WHS and participating in tournaments with other regional schools.  Come join us and support our team!

Drama Club - David Pert, Advisor

Membership forms may be picked up from Mr. Pert in room 220 or from the Drama Club board located in the English hallway.  Dues are $20 and include a t-shirt.

Applications are available on the bulletin boards in the English and CTE hallways.  Dues and applications must be turned in to Mrs. Harless by September 3, 2019.  Voting for officers will take place at the September 3 meeting (after school).  The fall rally will be held in Pensacola on October 24.

Gaming Club - Alvin Wade, Advisor

The Gaming Club meets every other Thursday from 3:15 to 4:15 in Dr. Wade's room.

Key Club - Jennifer Bell, Advisor

Key Club applications are located on the bulletin board in the social studies hallway.  Applications must be turned in by September 4, 2019.  The first Key Club meeting for returning members will be held in the auditorium on September 4 at 7:30 a.m.

GPA requirement:  3.0 for all applicants

Dues for new members - $50
Dues for returning members - $40

Meetings are held in the auditorium from 7:00-7:40 a.m.

Mu Alpha Theta - Wendy Resch, Advisor

Applications are available to students that have completed geometry (or a higher math) and maintained a "B" average.  Deadline to return forms - Sept. 25, 2019

New member dues - $15
Returning member dues - $5

To earn a graduation honor cord, students must do the following:

  • maintain an active club membership
  • complete four advanced courses staring with geometry
  • maintain a "B" average in all math courses
  • pay $10 for the graduation cord

National Honor Society

Students may begin applying at the end of their freshman year.  Students must have a minimum 3.5 GPA in their academic classes (English, math, science, social studies).  They must be registered for at least one honors class per term and receive favorable character ratings from faculty members.  They must also provide documentation of community service and other activities.

Underclassmen dues - $20
Senior dues - $30 (includes graduation cord cost)

Spanish Club - Edith Cuica, Advisor

Want to be in the Spanish Club?  Go by Ms. Cuica’s room for an application.  The deadline to turn in applications and dues is September 10, 2019.

The Tribe - Capri Zodrow, Advisor

All students are encourged to join the Tribe in an effort to promote school spirit.  Members of the Tribe will be allowed to travel to athletic events with cheerleaders at the discretion of the sponsor.
