MSE 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade parents attended FSA Parent Information Meetings on February 25th and 26th. Guidance Counselor, Lisa Jones, and grade level teachers provided information that enables parents to help their children feel more confident and prepared for the upcoming state assessments. 2nd graders at West DeFuniak Elementary participated in planting potatoes in a grade level garden. The students were able to individually plant their own potatoes. Students learned that potatoes are usually planted first in a spring garden and what the criteria is for planting potatoes. The students had a blast working in the garden and getting a little dirty! Students are excited to see how well their plants will grow in their garden this year. Submitted by Jessica Dawkins

NWFSC Career Planning Services visited Ms. Lyday's classes to match the students' personalities to the professions best suited for them. Congratulations to Cade Layton on signing a football scholarship with Warner University (Lake Wales, FL). Cade was a four year letterman and three year starter at FHS for the Bulldogs football team.
