Mossy Head School Hosts “SOUPER” Reading Night

MHS hosted our annual Title 1 meeting and “Souper” Reading Night on January 31. Families were served soup and sandwiches for dinner. Parents then visited the classrooms with their children and were given different strategies to use at home to help their child reach their reading goals.

FMS Students Participate in Picture the Music Competition with Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra!

Congratulations to the ten Freeport Middle School artists whose work was chosen to be entered in the Peter Vs. The Wolf "Picture the Music" art contest with the Northwest Florida Symphony Orchestra. Fifth grade classes will be attending the Peter Vs. the Wolf performance by the NFSO at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center, where the art show will also be on display. Way to go Addyson Barr, Carley Barron, Keori Bramlett, Jennifer Casteneda, Scarlett Dimaggio, Addison Jackson, Clayton Shelley, Adriaunna Simmons, Emily Simmons, and Megan Weller!
WMS Students Create DNS Model out of Licorice!

The 7th Grade Assessment for DNA asked students to CREATE a DNA molecule out of red licorice, toothpicks and marshmallows. This model not only had to be correct in its base pairs, it also had to take the correct form! Students were nervous about this not traditional assessment, but they all did AMAZING! We are extremely proud of our students at WMS!

Van R. Butler Honors Guidance Counselor and Resource Deputy!

WHS Hosts Staff Appreciation Breakfast

WHS administrators cooked up a delicious breakfast on Feb. 12 to show their appreciation for their outstanding staff members and the hard work they do every day to help students build their legacies and succeed.
