Mossy Head School would like to announce this year's Teacher of the Year, Mr. Buddy Goodman, and our ESP of the Year, Mrs. April Schanz. Mr. Goodman is cherished by the faculty, students, and parents of MHS. He is dedicated to providing learning to students through interaction and exposure to different musical experiences. Mrs. April has been dedicated to taking care of and supporting Mossy Head School for years. First, as a parent, then later when she joined the staff, all the way to her current position as custodian.
MHS is so proud of our Teacher of the Year and our ESP of the year!

Dr. John Fay of the Air Force Research Laboratory at Eglin Air Force Base kicked off the 8th grade space studies with a talk about his past work with NASA, emphasizing the intersection of science and math in the real world. Students were excited to check out the artifacts he shared including a heat shield and a multi-strand tether. Thank you Dr. Fay for giving back to our students!

On December 13th, members of the South Walton High School baseball team volunteered for Habitat for Humanity at the Restore on Hwy 393. Players loaded furniture into trailers , painted doors, helped cut and stack pallets of lumber that will be used to build houses. The team earned a sense of gratitude for giving back and helping our community.
