Walton High's National Honor Society is dedicated to helping the veteran community and is sponsoring a Jeans for Troops fundraiser on May 8. This event honors WHS alum Sgt. Timothy Padgett, who was killed while serving his country during Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan on May 8, 2007.

Our team of 24 hopes to raise $500 for the GI Go Fund, which helps veterans with employment, housing, and healthcare. Teachers are encouraged to participate by paying $5 to wear jeans and their "Jeans For Troops" sticker on May 8.  Students may pay $1 to wear a hat on that day.   Donations will be accepted at school, as well as via the website below.
