Our chorus class recently visited the University of West Florida to participate in a preparatory workshop prior to their MPA. Dr. Peter Steenblik, Director of Choral Activities at UWF, provided this feedback regarding the visit: "They sang with musicality, pliability, and beauty. It is clear that Mr. Moore is providing solid methods and pedagogy along with a positive environment. The students love the music and each other. I am sincerely appreciative of your support for WHS chorus." The dedication and work ethic of these students and Mr. Moore epitomize what it is to be a Brave, and we're so proud of them!

On January 16, Walton High's FFA attended Florida Farm Bureau Day and Ag On The Hill at our state capitol in Tallahassee. They interacted with and listened to many Farm Bureau members, senators, and representatives. They learned about how bills are voted on and passed in Florida. Our FFA members had the opportunity to connect with almost 200 other FFA members from all over the state. They also visited the offices of our senator and representative to speak about the FFA organization and the importance of FFA members for the future of agriculture. Events like today are essential for the future of agriculture!

As anatomy & physiology students learn names of some of the human skeletal muscles, they also learn about their actions, origins, and insertions. Students worked individually or with partners to attach in correct position a pre-selected set of four “muscles” to a skeleton while also indicating which end of the muscle was the origin and which was the insertion.

Anchor Club hosted their tapping initiation on September 11, 2023. This is a long-standing tradition at Walton High School. Anchor members delivered their A's and "tapped" new members by asking them to do something silly: dance, sing, put on a short performance, etc.
