Homecoming week is October 15-18.  (Note:  Monday, October 14, is a teacher work day. Students will be out of school.)  Below is info for each day:
 
- Tuesday, October 15
Show Your True Age TUESDAY (dress up in new or old)
5th period - Homecoming Court & their escorts will have a luncheon.
3:30-9:00 p.m. - Classes will work at designated locations on their floats/signs/skits. Contact your grade sponsor for location info.
• Freshman class – Contact Holly Harless.
• Sophomore class – Contact Niki Lawson.
• Junior class – Contact Kelley Stephenson.
• Senior class – Contact Capri Zodrow.
 
- Wednesday, October 16
What You Wanna Be? WEDNESDAY (dress up in your favorite career/occupation)
6:00 p.m. - Alumni cheerleading dinner in the cafeteria
3:30-8:30 p.m. - Classes will work at their designated locations (see above) on their floats/signs/skits.
 
- Thursday, October 17
Tackle Breast Cancer THURSDAY (wear pink)
9:08 a.m. - Homecoming Court practice (Color Guard & JROTC will attend)
Activity schedule - Powder Puff game from 2:55 to 3:25
Tickets cost $2. Students will pay their 7th period teachers. Half of the proceeds will be donated for breast cancer awareness.
5:30-6:30 p.m. - Tailgate party on the soccer practice field for the entire student body
There will be FREE BBQ sandwiches, chips, and drinks, along with music & games. There will also be some friendly class competitions.
6:30 - Report to the far end of the soccer practice field for the bonfire. Students in each class will be counted for participation before going to the bonfire.
7:00-10:00 - Hang signs in the gym & hallways.
 
- Friday, October 18 - EARLY RELEASE DAY FOR WHS (see bell schedule below)
Fanatic Brave FRIDAY (wear blue & white)
10:25-11:25 a.m. - Homecoming pep rally
1:30 p.m. - Police escort at each float location
2:00 p.m. - Participants must be in place in the parade lineup (at Ameris Bank on Baldwin Ave.).
2:30 p.m. - Homecoming parade - CANCELLED DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER
The parade will begin on the corner of Baldwin/South 11th Street and proceed down Main Street, then turn right at Bogeys. Then it will turn right onto the circle and end at Hubbard (bus ramp side of Walton Middle School).

- Monday, October 21
6:00 p.m. - Homecoming Court & escorts report to the north end zone
6:30 p.m. - Presentation of the Court
Homecoming Queen & King will be announced immediately after the Court presentation is completed - BEFORE the game begins. Pictures will be taken after the crowning on the field or lunchroom (depending on the wind).
7:00 p.m. - Varsity football game vs. Chipley
To promote safety, WHS will be implementing two policies for the football game:
 
1) Students will not be permitted to enter with a backpack.
2) Once attendees leave the game, they may not re-enter without paying the entry fee a second time.
