Parents/guardians, FOOD FOR THOUGHT knows that summer break can present unique challenges for the families enrolled in the Backpack program.  To help bridge the nutritional gap created by the extended break, FOOD FOR THOUGHT is encouraging you and your family to enroll in their summer pick-up program.
 
On the dates listed below, they'll offer your family several bags of food filled with traditional FOOD FOR THOUGHT items (e.g., PBJ, pop-top soup, Chef Boyardee, granola bars), as well as family-sized staples (e.g., rice, beans, pasta, sauce, cereal, fresh produce).
 
Food pick-ups will take place at Walton High School (located at 449 Walton Rd., DeFuniak Springs) on the following dates:
 
Monday, June 3
8:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
 
Monday, July 1
8:00 - 11:30 a.m.
4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
 
Monday, July 29
8:00 - 11:30 a.m.
4:00 - 6:30 p.m.
 
In interested in enrolling your child in the FOOD FOR THOUGHT summer program, please pick up an application from Mrs. Hoppe in the front office.  Completed applications should be turned in to the front office by May 15.
