Jay Lindsey

The Walton Braves are excited to announce new Head Coach/Athletic Director Jay Lindsey.  Principal Brianna Leavins shared, “I am pleased with the success our football program has had over the last four years and looking forward to Coach Lindsey continuing the winning culture. Coach Lindsey brings years of experience as a successful leader, and I know he will continue to develop our student athletes to help them become the best versions of themselves.”

Coach Lindsey has served as the Offensive Coordinator for the Braves the last 3 seasons. During his tenure, the Braves have set school records for yards per game and points per game. Prior to coming to Walton High, Coach Lindsey served as the Head Coach of Tate High School for seven years. As the head coach, he led his team to the second most wins in the school’s history and set a school record with five straight playoff appearances, including a state semi-final appearance. Coach Lindsey was named the Pensacola New Journal Coach of the Year in 2016.

When asked about this new chapter, Coach Lindsey stated, "I am excited to continue the tradition and success at Walton High. I look forward to continuing to build relationships with our student athletes. Walton High School is a special place. My family and I are looking forward to success for years to come. I'd like to thank Superintendent Hughes and Ms. Leavins for this opportunity to help make Walton High athletics the standard of the panhandle."
