Braves Families,

As we prepare for the new school year, we want to ensure everyone understands Walton High School’s expectations regarding cell phones and personal electronic devices.

Florida Statute 1006.07(2)(f) restricts student use of wireless communication devices during instructional time. At Walton High School, all phones and personal electronic devices must be turned off and stored inside the student’s backpack throughout the school day.

Phones 𝐦𝐚𝐲 𝐧𝐨𝐭 be carried in back pockets, kept on desks, or visible at any time. If a phone is seen during the school day, it will be taken to the front office and must be picked up by a parent/guardian or someone on the student's emergency card at the end of the day.

Our expectation is simple: 𝐏𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐲. 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭.

We appreciate our parents and families reinforcing this expectation at home. Your support helps protect instructional time so our teachers can teach, and every student can learn.
