And goodness, it feels good to be 𝐇𝐎𝐌𝐄!

After our unexpected hurricane break, WHS reopened its doors today, and I have to say… this principal's heart is FULL!

Here's a little Wednesday update from Braves Country:
90% attendance today! That's only 1% below our typical daily attendance! Not too shabby for our first day back!
FREE SNACKS FOR EVERYONE! Every student received a little treat today, and here's the best part… they said THANK YOU! Parents, you're doing an awesome job raising these kiddos!
Football is back at it! Our boys have been on the practice field since Monday, getting back into the swing of things!
Volleyball is district tournament ready! Our Lady Braves are gearing up to compete Friday and Saturday. Let's go, ladies!
Girls golf is rolling! Our girls competed against local teams yesterday at Eagle Springs. Proud of these Braves!
Cross Country is back rolling, too! Our runners are back at it and putting in the miles! Keep it up, Braves!
Quarter exams are TOMORROW. Students will take their 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th period exams. And judging by the conversations I had today, they're ready to just GET THEM OVER WITH! Honestly, I can't blame them!

But here's my favorite part of today…
The sound of students' voices and laughter filling our hallways again. The smiles on our staff members' faces. The familiar hustle and bustle of a school full of life. Sometimes it takes an unexpected pause to remind us just how special the everyday moments really are.

Today was a 𝐆𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 day to be a Walton Brave.
