Ms. Leavins received her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of West Florida and her Master's in Educational Leadership. She served the students of Walton County as a classroom teacher and instructional coach before coming to Walton High School.

Assistant Principal
Mrs. Burnham received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work and her Master's in Political Science from the University of West Florida. She received her Master's in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education in 2018. She worked as a teacher in Walton County for nine years teaching World History, American Government, and Language Arts prior to coming to Walton High School.

Assistant Principal
Jimmy Ross serves as Assistant Principal at Walton High School, bringing more than a decade of educational leadership experience within Walton County School District. Prior to this role, he served as Principal of Van R. Butler Elementary School from 2019 to 2025, where he championed academic excellence, strengthened community partnerships, and supported innovative instructional practices. Mr. Ross is passionate about developing strong school cultures, supporting teachers, and preparing students for success in both college and career pathways.
