Our boys weightlifting team dominated Ponce de Leon and Holmes County High School in their meet yesterday! Their hard work and determination really showed.
Come out and support the team at their next meet on Thursday at 4:00. Let’s pack the gym and cheer them on to another victory!
At the Math Bowl at Northwest Florida State College last Friday, Walton High placed 3rd overall, and Julie Laviolette & Foster Stephenson made the top 10! 🏆 👏 Foster also won a TI-84 and a notebook!

Congratulations to Deagan Devlin and Damien Van Auken for winning the regional SeaPerch competition yesterday! 🏆💦 These students worked extremely hard to achieve this accomplishment and represented Walton with grit, teamwork, and dedication.

The Braves tennis team was back in action yesterday against West Florida. The girls fell 7-0 but represented Walton well in the loss. The boys lost a close one with a score of 4-3. Highlights:
🎾 Jett Durden handled his business at the number 5 spot by a score of 8-0.
🎾 Alex Ramirez followed him up with a score of 8-5, finishing strong after being knotted up at 4-4.
🎾 Whitton West posted a win in a back-and-forth match that saw him down 15-40 in his service game for the match before he turned it on and dropped in some tough serves to hold serve and secure his win at 9-7.
🎾 Curtis Galloway fell by a score of 8-3.
🎾 Camden Zodrow was in another close one finishing just shy in a tie breaker (9-7), which had to be called so the match could be completed due to lighting. #1 spot.
🎾 Both men's doubles were a loss of 8-3 and 8-4 respectfully.

Some of our juniors and seniors participated in Construction Career Day at the Santa Rosa County Fairgrounds today. Students met industry professionals; explored the wide range of opportunities in the construction & engineering industries; engaged in small group learning labs; and took part in hands-on activities with heavy machinery & equipment. What an EPIC opportunity for these students and our community!

The team powered their way to victory against Ponce de Leon High today, showing incredible strength, dedication, and teamwork. We’re proud of these athletes’ hard work and determination. Keep pushing and representing Walton with excellence!
We’d like to give a shout-out to Zharick Conde for her truly exceptional work! As part of a World War I poster project, she went above and beyond every expectation. Her work demonstrates not only a deep understanding of the historical content, but also remarkable artistic talent, creativity, and attention to detail. Every panel tells a story—from causes and key events to social impacts and global consequences—and it is clear she invested significant time, thought, and care into this project. Zharick is incredibly gifted, and her pride in learning truly shines through this piece.
This weekend the following seven students traveled to Troy University to participate in the 53rd Annual Southeastern United States Honor Band. 🎶 These students have represented Walton High School with immense success and have received the following chair placements for their respective ensembles:

The FCA breakfast was held at the Mattie Kelly Arts Center this morning. Chandler Shoaf represented Walton High with opening words.
Thank you to everyone that participated in our SPRING INTO BRAVE COUNTRY event tonight! Students & parents/guardians had the opportunity to sit down with WHS academic teachers and guidance counselors to discuss course offerings & requirements and complete registration forms for next school year. Representatives from Emerald Coast Technical College and Northwest Florida State College were on hand to share information & answer questions, as well.
This past Thursday and Friday, 13 Walton High School Band students had the opportunity to participate in the annual All-County Honor Band. These students had the honor of learning and performing under Mr. Ian Schwindt from Titusville High School in Titusville, FL. All the students in All-County put on an incredible concert and learned so many new things about music. 🎶 We are incredibly proud of these students and can’t wait to see what they accomplish in the future! 💙

On Friday, our girls competed at North Bay Haven in Regionals. It was an incredible day surrounded by many talented schools and athletes. The girls showed up, competed with heart, and left it all on the platform. The effort, grit, and determination they put in was unreal.
