Congratulations to the following students that recently received awards at the Music in Pictures award ceremony! - Tegan Wilson, Hunter Nelson, Ruben Torro and Halle Wright - The following students were unable to attend but submitted work: Evdokia Watkins, Jesse Kilgore, Lilly Campbell, Brandon White, Scarlett Anderson, Liv Lellau, Ansley Nowling, Charlie McClung, Tyler Wait, Kaidance Hernandez, Kyla Jesky, Calie Brackin, and Julie Laviolette All the art students that participated worked creatively and diligently on their artwork. This is a difficult project for young artists. They have to create a work of art, an original image, based on their reactions and emotions from listening to various classical music. The highlight of the evening was Tegan Wilson receiving her framed artwork, medal, and certificate for winning a Judges Award for her fabulous artwork. Mr. Wolfer and the WHS family are proud of you!

Our agriscience foundations classes started learning about poultry production this week. One of the topics covered was egg quality and grading. Students had the opportunity to candle eggs in class on Wednesday and Thursday. Candling is the process of using light to help determine the quality of an egg. Our foundations students used the USDA's Official Egg Air Cell Gauge to determine the size of the air cell in the egg and the interior grade of the egg.

Our chorus class recently visited the University of West Florida to participate in a preparatory workshop prior to their MPA. Dr. Peter Steenblik, Director of Choral Activities at UWF, provided this feedback regarding the visit: "They sang with musicality, pliability, and beauty. It is clear that Mr. Moore is providing solid methods and pedagogy along with a positive environment. The students love the music and each other. I am sincerely appreciative of your support for WHS chorus." The dedication and work ethic of these students and Mr. Moore epitomize what it is to be a Brave, and we're so proud of them!
